Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy for Tsabit Journal of Computer Science

Purpose: Tsabit Journal of Computer Science recognizes the importance of long-term preservation and accessibility of scholarly research. This Archiving Policy outlines the guidelines for archiving and preservation of articles in accordance with the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The policy aims to ensure the availability of published content for future reference and research.

Policy:

LOCKSS Concept

Tsabit adopts the principles of the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) initiative, which is based on the concept of preserving content through distributed archiving. By maintaining multiple copies of its articles across different locations, Tsabit ensures the redundancy and resilience of its archival system, minimizing the risk of content loss and guaranteeing continued access to its publications.

PKP PN Archiving Service

Tsabit participates in the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) Preservation Network (PN) Archiving Service to ensure the preservation of its published articles. This archiving service allows Tsabit to safely store and maintain digital copies of its articles in a secure and decentralized network, ensuring their availability for future generations of readers and researchers.

PKP PN Archiving Plugin

Tsabit utilizes the PKP PN Archiving Plugin, a free and efficient tool provided by the Public Knowledge Project. This plugin facilitates the archiving process by automatically depositing articles into the PKP PN Archiving Service, contributing to the widespread dissemination and preservation of Tsabit's scholarly content.

Compliance and Enforcement: Tsabit and its stakeholders, including authors and readers, are expected to comply with this Archiving Policy and adhere to COPE's ethical standards and guidelines.

Note: Tsabit is committed to the preservation of scholarly research in the field of Computer Science. By implementing this policy, Tsabit aims to ensure the accessibility and long-term availability of its published articles for the benefit of the research community.
